You keep ownership of what you write and upload — sources, posts, verification notes, Briefs, graph proposals, everything. By publishing it on Cittadelle, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host it, display it, and keep it accessible according to the platform's own rules (for example, a source you submitted may carry forward a contestation raised against it, whether or not you'd rather it didn't).
If you delete your account, your published contributions stay in the archive — reattributed to a member called [Departed], not deleted — because the record shouldn't lose evidence just because a contributor left. This is explained further in the Manifesto and applies whether you agree with it in the moment or not.
Messages you send another member through Correspondence are not covered by this licence. They carry no public code, cannot be cited, anchored, or surfaced anywhere else on the platform, and remain exactly what they are: a private conversation between the two of you.
Nor is what you keep in Traces: what you follow, the levels and private notes you set, and your map. None of it is published or shown to anyone but you; the only public trace of it is an anonymous count of how many members trace something. See the Privacy Policy.
